Providing a Holistic Mental Health Approach
I believe that everyone has the capacity to make choices that bring them closer to the life they want to lead. It can be challenging to focus, feel motivated and stay inspired, and it is my commitment to assist you towards your preferred life.
I have been in the mental health field of Vermont for over 9 years while practicing in a variety of roles: Clinical Social Worker, Establishing the Access Hub , Case Manager, Mental Health Trainer and Advocate. It is through these roles, and my previous career as a philosophy professor, that I believe that every individual holds innate worth and may experience mental health concerns throughout their life. It is my goal to assist those going through mental health concerns, primarily in assisting with Anxiety, Depression, Hoarding, Transitional Life Changes, Trauma, the LGBTQ+ community and many other mental health issues.
Living in Central Vermont I enjoy being a foodie with my chef of a partner, three cats who take care of me, and a home in the middle of the woods. As a practitioner of the Plum Village Tradition, I utilize mindfulness throughout my day, allowing tranquility and healing to be at the forefront of my work and in my own day to day life.
I work with adults and adolescents on a variety of issues, including:
Trauma and PTSD
Communication and relationship concerns
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
Substance use
Identity exploration
Dealing with loss
Anxiety
Depression
Handling chronic medical conditions such as Diabetes, Cancer or Parkinson
Eating disorders
ADHD
Personality disorders
Sexual and other forms of abuse
Hoarding disorder
