Guiding Principles

Wholeness = Love

In Wholeness lies love. In Separation lies fear and attachment. We have one essential guiding principle (Wholeness) from which all else branches out from its vast trunk. By embracing wholeness, we can wake up to the implicit underlying reality that flows through all of us. We discover that kindness, integrity, honesty, compassion, and of course LOVE, will flow through all our interactions. We are not separated. We are whole.

Branches of Wholeness:

Interconnection, Interdependence, Acceptance

  • Wholeness is undivided and immeasurable, embracing all—from the smallest particle to the cosmos. Every element of nature, from plants and animals to stars and galaxies, is woven with love. The Universe is like a hologram: within one thing lies the entirety of existence.

  • By living in love, all divisions dissolve into stillness. Love resides in presence, the unknowable essence within us all. Truth and love emerge when the personal fades, revealing our interconnectedness. What we do to others, we do to ourselves. Humans are not above nature but part of its collaborative cycle.

  • Wholeness is complete, perfect, and ever-present. It requires no arrival or progress—it simply is. As all is interconnected, we strive to live sustainably, in balance with nature, body, spirit, and community. We are of nature, and the more we listen and let go, the more we align with its rhythms.

  • Together, we return to our true nature—reconnecting with ourselves, others, and our environments. We accept everyone, listening with compassion to diverse beliefs. Acceptance does not mean tolerating hate; we meet hate with love, as Peace Pilgrim said: “Overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth, and hatred with love.”

    We see that when we live in love, we live in freedom and joy. At Love University, we strive to model and mirror back wholeness and love to all who participate. It’s not a perfect science; in fact, it’s extremely sloppy at times. We hope you join us for this heroic journey of honesty, vulnerability, and exploring wholeness together!
