Creative Sharing Night
Friday, January 3rd, 2025, 5:30 - 8p
This is mostly an in-person offering at Love University. We say “mostly” because we’re not super stellar with technology but we want you to come if you’re from afar. If you don’t mind a little awkwardness at moments, we’ll try our best to make you feel included from the computer.
46 S Main St., 2nd floor, Waterbury VT 05676 (head in the side door by the parking lot).
Donations welcome but not required.
What to Expect
This will be an evening of relaxed and thoughtful sharing of whatever your creative expression might be. Bring a poem or two, an instrument, a story, artwork, anything you’re inspired to share, or just yourself. Whether you want to join in or just listen in, we think you’ll leave feeling connected and inspired. We have tea, some snacks, writing materials, and fidgets. We have chairs or floor seating. Please let us know any accommodations you may need, and please invite anyone you think would be interested. We’re excited to share with you in this way!
Please RSVP here or email us. It helps us out a lot if we know you’re coming. Thank you!
Dialogue Guidance
Come experience the transformative nature of dialogue with us. Love U began with our desire to get people together to talk about how to live in love. To do that, we knew dialogue needed to be at the core of what we do. We see quite clearly that if we don’t slow down and notice the nuances in how we communicate, we will continue, individually and collectively, to perpetuate our cultural dysfunction. We have two main offerings: dialogue training and dialogue-focused groups.

Looking forward to exploring with you!

Day of Rest
We decided to open up the Libary and Flow Room daily instead of having the Day of Rest once a month. Please head here if you’d like to come relax in our space. We love to share!

What does it feel like to… just…chill?
Okay ya’ll, this is going to be chill. And when I say ‘chill’, that’s what we’re aiming for; hang out in the library with some tea and a book you’ve been meaning to open; make an espresso and chat in the kitchen; use the Flow Room for some quiet sitting, a catnap or movement. The vibe is slow, free-feeling, and relaxed. It’s an opportunity for you to separate yourself from your day to day happenings: Who are you underneath all the obligations and rushing? What will you discover?!
Bonus! Maggie Mae will be teaching a restorative yoga class at 4p and Garin will be offering meditative nature walks for anyone interested. You can join or do your own thang. Head to our Yoga and Meditation page and Maggie Mae’s Class Style and Garin’s Class Style for more info.
Email us with questions. We hope to share some quiet time with you soon!
Grief Circles
Run in a dialogic manner; we understand how critical it is to provide a safe and open space for there to be vulnerability and healing. We see that a small group of people, through support, can help each other embrace grief, learn, and move beyond into a deeper sense of understanding and letting go.
“If it’s painful, you become willing not just to endure it but also to let it awaken your heart and soften you. You learn to embrace it.” ~ Pema Chödrön
We see that grief is a natural process we all must go through. Yet, our society does not teach us how to deal with loss nor learn how to accept the reality of death. This circle is a place where we can come together in a safe environment in which we can share, listen, and see that rather than be isolated in our grief, we are supported.
Suggested Donation per class: $15 - 25

Dance YOU
for ages 13+
Dance YOU is inspired by Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms, aka The Wave. It is a free form, fun dance in a safe and inviting space. These are some guidelines to help us all be on the same page:
Honor people’s flow by not talking or using your cell phone.
Be consensual. Listen for a yes, respect a no.
Be free. Dance how you want. No judgment.
Check out our scintillating playlist from our last Dance You.
Yoga and Meditation Day of Exploration for Absolute Beginners
Curious about yoga and meditation but never felt comfortable enough to take a class? Perhaps you tried one or two classes but felt lost? This event was created specifically for you! All you need is a willingness to try something new. These events are a full day of learning, in a fun and communal environment. They are run by Maggie Mae, April and Garin.
We do not run these events regularly but love doing them! If you are interested, just email us and let’s see what we can make happen.
Taboo Talks and Ted Circles
Engage with open and thoughtful people around topics that scare the heebie-geebies out of you. This could be anything from sex, race, war, health. Expect a small, inclusive group vibe.
