Maggie Mae’s Class Style

Yoga and meditation have been the foundation of my physical and mental well-being for the majority of my life. Before the pandemic, I was teaching nine classes a week and now I am so excited to finally be offering a class again. I’m starting with a restorative class because I feel it is something I and others truly need. One of the biggest lessons of my life has been the lesson of slowing down. Our culture is constantly bombarding us with messages to hurry up, do more, and strive harder. Exhaustion is a badge of honor many of us wear. Restorative classes offer an antidote to all that doing-ness, a sanctuary where we can slow down to a snail's pace and allow our body and mind to converge, finding rest in the process.

This class will start with slow, gentle, and easily accessible yoga postures to open the body and release tension, followed by a brief, guided meditation to quiet the mind. Then we’ll move into postures supported by bolsters and blankets. We’ll relax in these postures for several minutes, allowing our bodies to unwind. Reiki and head and neck massages will be offered to those who would like energy work or therapeutic touch. We’ll end with another brief meditation and/or chanting.

Join me on Sunday evenings to prioritize self-care—nurturing not only your nervous system but also your soul. Take this opportunity to slow down and rediscover the simple joy of just being.

Please email me with any questions or register for the next class.
